I. Pre-installation Preparation

Step 1: Remove the Old Generator (Skip for new installations)

Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Full-process Power-off Operation
The negative battery cable must be disconnected before installation. It is strictly forbidden to plug or unplug the generator wiring harness connectors with power on, to prevent short circuits from burning the generator rectifier bridge, stator coil, or vehicle ECU.
When restoring power supply, confirm that all wiring harness connectors are firmly connected with no exposed metal terminals before reconnecting the negative battery cable.
Wiring Harness Connection Specifications
The generator B+ terminal (output positive electrode, usually a thick red cable) must use the OEM-spec cable. Install a lock washer and then tighten it, with the torque controlled at 8–12N·m. Loose connections will cause terminal heating, oxidation, and even fire.
The D+ terminal (field wire, thin wire) must be accurately connected to the vehicle's charging indicator circuit or the ECU field control terminal. Incorrect connection will result in no power generation by the generator or the charging indicator remaining on.
The ground wire must be directly connected to the engine block or the vehicle body grounding bolt. Indirect grounding through rubber pipes or plastic components is prohibited. Poor grounding will cause voltage fluctuations and damage to electrical components.
