After unpacking, carefully check the main body of the Yuchai 1000W generator for shell damage, loose parts, etc. Meanwhile, verify that all accessories listed in the manual (such as fixing bolts, connecting wire harnesses, heat dissipation covers, manuals, etc.) are complete.
Choose a well-ventilated, dry and flat site, away from flammable and explosive materials (such as gasoline, paint, etc.) and corrosive gases. Reserve at least 0.5 meters of surrounding operating space to facilitate subsequent maintenance and heat dissipation.
For fixed installation, pre-cast a concrete foundation (recommended thickness not less than 10 cm, load-bearing capacity not less than 1.5 times the weight of the generator) or use the manufacturer's supporting metal installation bracket. For temporary mobile use, ensure the placement surface is level to prevent the generator from tilting during operation.
Place the generator stably on the installation foundation or bracket. Adjust the position to align the installation holes of the generator with the reserved holes on the foundation/bracket, ensuring the generator's center of gravity is centered without obvious shaking.

If the generator is equipped with a remote control or alarm device, connect the control lines (such as start signal lines, fault alarm lines) to the control module according to the wiring diagram in the manual to ensure no short circuit or poor contact at the joints.
Install the manufacturer's supporting heat dissipation cover or protective net at the generator's heat dissipation air outlet, fix it with screws to ensure the heat dissipation channel is unobstructed. If the generator has a built-in cooling fan, check if the fan blades are intact and run without jamming.
For external fuel tanks, place the tank on the upwind side of the generator (distance not less than 1 meter from the generator to avoid high-temperature baking). Connect the fuel tank outlet to the generator inlet with a special oil pipe, install a gasket at the oil pipe interface, and tighten the pipe clamp to prevent fuel leakage.
Check if the fuel switch is flexible with no fuel dripping in the closed state. Before first use, fill the tank with fuel that meets the manual requirements (usually 92# or above unleaded gasoline, or 0# diesel, depending on the model), taking care not to overfill.
Check all connection parts: including fixing bolts, terminals, oil pipe interfaces, etc., to confirm no loosening, missing connections, or wrong connections.
Check if the fuel level (for fuel-type generators) and oil level (some models require pre-filling oil) meet the requirements. The oil level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the dipstick.
Check if the generator shell is reliably grounded with no obvious damage or electric leakage risk.
Turn on the generator power switch and start the generator (manual or electric start, operate according to the manual). Let the generator run under no-load for 5-10 minutes and observe the operating status: no abnormal noise or vibration, and stable voltage display on the instrument panel (1000W generators usually output 220V/50Hz, with voltage fluctuation ≤±5%).
After the no-load test is normal, gradually connect the load (it is recommended to first connect 50% rated load, run for 3-5 minutes, then increase to 90% rated load). Observe if the generator output is stable, the load equipment works normally, and there is no overload alarm or automatic shutdown.

Do not install in confined spaces, humid environments, or flammable and explosive areas. The installation site must be away from open flames and well-ventilated to prevent carbon monoxide accumulation or fire hazards.
Tighten fixing bolts to the torque specified in the manual to prevent loosening due to vibration during operation. It is recommended to use spring washers to enhance anti-loosening effect.
Strictly distinguish between live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire during electrical connection. For three-phase models, ensure correct phase correspondence. Incorrect wiring may burn the generator or load equipment.
Conduct a tightness check after connecting fuel pipes. Open the fuel valve and observe the interface for 5-10 minutes. Start the equipment only after confirming no leakage.
Avoid colliding with the generator shell and internal components during installation to prevent damage to core elements such as the stator, rotor, and rectifier.
Ensure the heat dissipation cover is properly installed to keep the heat dissipation channel unobstructed, avoiding overheating shutdown due to poor heat dissipation during generator operation.
Do not disassemble any parts while the generator is running. If adjustment or inspection is needed, stop the generator first, cut off the power supply, and close the fuel valve.
Record the installation date, wiring method, and test data after installation to facilitate subsequent troubleshooting and maintenance.
For the first start, run the generator under no-load for 5-10 minutes. Gradually increase the load only after confirming no abnormalities. Do not start with full load directly.
Regularly check the tightness of bolts, the status of wire connections, and the tightness of fuel pipelines. It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection at least once a month.
