Disconnect electrical connections:Unplug the S start control connector (grasp the plug, do not pull the wire).Use a socket to loosen the B+ main power nut on the starter, remove the cable and insulate it; remove the ground cable nut and insulate.
Remove mounting bolts:The starter is usually secured to the transmission bell housing with 2 M10/M12 long bolts. Loosen bolts in diagonal order.
Support the starter by hand (approx. 3–5 kg) to prevent dropping and damaging the flywheel ring gear or mounting surface.
Remove the old starter. Take it out slowly, clean the bell housing mounting surface and threaded holes, remove oil and metal chips.

Wire routing: Keep all wiring away from the exhaust pipe and moving parts, secure firmly to avoid abrasion and short circuits.
4. Reconnect Power and Testing
Reconnect the negative battery terminal (-) and ensure it is tight.
Start testing:Turn the key to the ON position; no abnormal warning lights on the dashboard. Start the engine. The starter should run smoothly with no gear grinding or abnormal noise. The starter gear must retract immediately after the engine starts.
